19th century Ardtarmon House and its five traditional Irish cottages are located on the north shore of Sligo Bay, along the wild atlantic way with panoramic views of mountains and sea up to 60 miles distance.
From Dublin Airport (3 hours)
There are express buses from Dublin airport to Connolly Station from where you can take a leisurely 3 hour train journey through the Irish midlands to Sligo train station.
From London Airports (2.5 hours)
There are direct daily flights to Knock Ireland West airport from London Stansted airport, London Luton airport (with Ryanair) and from London Gatwick (with Aer Lingus). Flights take about 1 hour and 25 minutes and it is then about 40 minutes by bus from Knock Airport to Sligo train station.
From Sligo
If you’re arriving by train or bus you’ll arrive into Sligo train station. From there we can make arrangements to have you picked up or you can make your own way to Ardtarmon House by taxi.

Doing it the old fashioned way and following directions.
- From Sligo town take the N15 from Sligo for 8 km to Drumcliff.
- After the Yeats Tavern turn left on the minor road towards RAGHLY.
- Travel 1 ½ km to CARNEY.
- Turn left again towards RAGHLY.
- Travel 6 ½ km to DUNLEAVY’S Shop.
- Turn left again towards RAGHLY for 2 ½ km until our entrance among trees on left with Shamrock symbol and wooden ARDTARMON HOUSE sign.
Don’t be shy about stopping and asking someone if you feel lost and don’t be surprised if they chat to you about the weather, ask you where you’re coming from or why you’re going there. The locals are interested and friendly.
